I departed Sydney direct to Rarotonga on 31 January, crossed the date line and arrived at 6:30am on 31 January.

Minibus transfer to Manuia Beach Resort.

Checked in but room not available until reception opened at 9:00am.

Breakfast in the On The Beach Restaurant

I napped until Noon and then had lunch in the restaurant.

I spent the afternoon lounging and reading until ‘Happy Hour’.

At the Happy Hour I met an Australian couple from Sydney (Peter – mechanic – and wife – IT business analyst) and Sandra Mundwiler (Swiss backpacker – import/export clerk).

Dinner in the Beach Bar Restaurant.
